The Ghost Writer

I found the film OK, but the best scenes for me were the end (!) because the closing credits were marvellous.
Ewan McGregor, after having pieced everything together to reveal the true story, steps out in to a quiet London street holding the manuscript he's been working on for the past year, only to be knocked down by a speeding car. Pages of the manuscript float in to the air, which in turn create the closing titles of this Roman Polanski film.
Unfortunately I can't find a decent video of this, or any stills but as soon as I do I'll put a link up.

Nail Parade

I don't quite know how I missed Chanel's amazing Nail Parade advert...

Watching this you almost forget that the "models" are simply hands, I particularly like the lettering, and the nod to Hollywood glamour without being too obviously vintage.

Created by the extremely talented director Patrick Daughters, think of all those beautifully vintage style Stella Artois adverts to accompany Robert McGinnis' billboard adverts. He is also the director of countless music videos for the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Beck and Grisly Bear, to name but a few.

The producers were Les Telecreateurs, a Paris based production company, who have produced a back catalogue that I urge you to take a look through.

Punch Drunk Love

I watched it the other night. Emily Watson's face is amazing, as were the closing titles. Quite different from the usual style I go for, but I adore the vivid colours. The sequence was designed by the American digital artist Jeremy Blake, who sadly died in 2007.
