On Saturday I went to see Lucky Elephant at Carnivale in Whitechapel, they were really good: definitely got me in the mood for summer. Lulu and the Lampshades were supporting, excellent to see a predominantly female band doing so well, love their use of house hold objects as instruments.
As well as good music the bar had unisex toilets(!), with fabulous modern sinks set in old fashioned dressing tables.

Borough Market
Whilst wandering around Borough Market last week, Alex and I spotted this familiar face.

Cuban adventure
At the moment I'm designing some wedding invitations, and the couple are staying in The Church Street Hotel for a night, before they jet off on their own Cuban adventure. It looks wonderful.

Windows
I went down the Walworth Road yesterday to look in the charity shops, and came across this eye-catching window display at The Salvation Army. Encouraging shoppers to recycle, they're offering an incentive scheme: buy a bag and we'll give you a £2.00 voucher for your next shop.
In my mind the window display cleverly sums up this, and the whole ethos of the shop, very effectively.
