Vintage Bridal Shoot

In September I had the honour of being part of a wonderful photoshoot lead by the amazing Kat Hill of Kat Hill Fotographie.
Kat asked that I design an invitation suite that reflected her 60s inspired theme. I used a sophisticated palette of pale peach, dove grey and cream, with vintage lace trimmings, that wouldn't fight with the opulent surroundings.
It was a fantastic day with some great people, and to top it all off our shoot was featured in the esteemed English Wedding Blog you can see the rest of the shoot there.

Chocolate School

As I mentioned before, last month was FULL of chocolate as I had the pleasure of attending Coco Chocolate's wonderful Chocolate School in Edinburgh.
Coco specialises in fine, organic chocolate, made from only the best ingredients, and all their goodies are hand made in their Edinburgh kitchen.
I would urge any chocolate lover to get up to Edinburgh sharpish! Coco also offer special Chocolate Bridal Parties imagine: your hen do and favour making all in one!

Thank you Jen, I had such a lot of fun, and learnt a)Rose and Black Pepper hot chocolate is amazing, b)A lot of (sneaky) chocolate tasting, followed by a winding car journey makes me feel a bit queasy and c)I don't look too fetching in that little hat!

T Snook-Hatters

To hat fans who haven't yet visited T Snooks you're missing a treat! It really is the perfect place to find a unique fascinator, (I overheard a woman saying she'd found nothing like them in London or PARIS!) or a dashing Panama for a summer wedding.
They are also the organisers of The Bridport Hat Festival, to which people come from far and wide bedecked in their favourite headpieces. Stupidly I didn't take any pictures of the amazing array, it was all a little overwhelming. But whilst visiting Snooks I spotted this familiar hat
I was pretty amazed as I have one almost identical to it, if not a little faded(!), bought for me by my lovely Mum, about 8 years ago.
On chatting to the lovely Monica I discovered that hers had originally been worn to a Royal Garden Party (wow). Sadly I don't have any Royal Garden Parties to attend, but I love it all the same.

Green and pleasant land

With so many wonderful places in the UK I sometimes wonder why we go so far away
